GONE NOW THANKS
Ok, finally, here is the very gorgeous H@ute Hippie silk georgette I popped up on my fabric Facebook page a few weeks back.
(Seriously, it has been just so busy, with hardly a chance to turn sideways let alone do these posts, so thanks for sticking with me during this irregular posting period).
I took so many photos of this designer silk. It is such a brilliant digital print with these glorious bouquets dancing all over the surface in such a captivating way. It’s like a print designer and sketchpad took the Monet garden tour at Giverny and emerged with this design at the end.
So, this silk is a double georgette, but with a smoother rather than crepe-like surface. It is a lighter fabric, very fluid, drapey, soft. For a georgette, it is fairly opaque.
This fabric was from the H@ute Hippie collections. They made dresses, taking advantage of the fantastic draping qualities.
This silk is 150cm wide and the length is 2 metres. Actually, the famous 7th Avenue store B&J Fabrics still has some of this fabric in stock (it is not as bright as in their photo), but I won’t ask nearly as much as they do for the fabric. I will price this fabric at $29 a metre/$58 for the piece.
I can send this fabric in the small satchel at $8.25. Please see here for full details on payment and posting. If interested, please click on the email link below; fabric details will appear automatically and I will get back to you asap. (Australia delivery only thanks).
