Glorious nippon peacocks silk charmeuse SOLD

Sticking with the Japanese theme for a moment, I got this simply divine silk charmeuse in Tokyo.  There were a few of us at the counter and this roll was passed around.  Pieces just from this few minutes went to Germany, the UK and back here to Australia.

The peacocks are stylised and once you cut into this the graphics will be further spread so you needn’t worry about being too literal.  Colours in this piece are so complex and dense and sophisticated…dark teal, mushroom, caramel, and accents of cobalt blue and magenta.  (The splashes of magenta are not as bright as they appear on my monitor at the moment). The silk is a very top quality silk charmeuse, the handle, drape, texture, weight are all exceptional.

This silk is 113cm x 2.7 metres, so there is a great amount of fabric to work with.  It’d be great to pick up some of the contrast colours and work them in somehow.  Of course, Prada did this so well all those years ago.  I think this collection might have been around 2005.
