GONE NOW THANKS
In fact, the patterning strikes me as a mix of many influences, from kilim to other tribal, all assembled in a very modern mix, but my knowledge of patterns is not extensive enough to pinpoint all the influences.
In Isabel Marant’s hands this fabric would surely become the base for an embellished ‘trophy’ jacket. But it is a versatile piece for any other jacket, dress, skirt…
The fabric has an intricate jacquard weave featuring deep reds, magenta, burnt umber and cooling lavenders. It’s a bit of colour mastery actually. The fabric composition is linen/cotton, about half and half. It is a medium weight fabric.
I’m partial to jackets with a special detail. The one on the left here exemplifies this; it is by Marc Jacobs (and goes back many years – the back is sensational!). The other jackets are by Marni, Isabel Marant, Kenzo and a second Marc Jacobs jacket.
This fabric is 155cm and measures 2 metres (a couple of cm under). The fabric price is $25 a metre/$50 for the piece.
I can post this in the smallest satchel (with tracking) at $8.25. Please see here for full details on payment and posting. If interested, please click on the email below; fabric details will appear automatically and I will get back to you asap. (Australia delivery only thanks).
