Gosh this stunning red wool was hard to photograph. I am not selling the knitting yarn in this image but I found the only time I could get close to the true red colour of the wool was when another colour was laid against it to help the camera understand the colour values. While my photographing of this glorious Armani winter wool has failed this beautiful fabric, it means I am marking it at far less than I paid, so please read on.
A lot of my fabrics I do actually fall a bit in love with, and this is one of them. This 100% wool is an outwear fabric, punctuated with the subtle small-scale dimples to give the fabric texture and a cushion effect. Top-stitching this wool would be great to make the most of that fabric quality. Now this next shot is not close to the colour at all. It takes on a carmine hue here, but the real red is a true post box red, as in the image above. But I just want to show you this fabric on the roll.
This length is a wonderfully wide 155cm x 2.2 metres. So there’s enough for outwear of some kind, or jacket, or skirt or whatever takes your fancy. Here’s another shot that comes close to the true colour of the fabric.
This Armani fabric was over $100 a metre. I will let it go today at $65 a metre/$143 for the piece, plus post, because I have done such a miserable job of capturing its true beauty. Please see the FAQ for full details on payment and posting. If interested, please click on the email link below; fabric details will appear automatically and I will get back to you asap. (Australia delivery only thanks very much).
This is an Armani coat and the red here looks close to this one. I hope in between all these photos you get a good idea of the shade red on offer, even though I can’t pinpoint it for you in these images. I didn’t realise it was such a blurry photo until posting just now. Sorry about that. This entire post is a visual fail but truly a fabric win for loves of Armani, red, wool and quality fabrics x
