Black/grey/bone tribal graphics scuba fabric SOLD

GONE – THANK YOU!

This fabric is soooo fashion-forward.  This is scuba fabric, which has also been called neoprene, although scuba is lighter and more refined than the neoprene.  Even though I’m putting this fabric up for sale, I’m still wildly in love with it, and I do think this black, grey and bone graphic pattern is one of the very best scuba fabric patterns I have seen.  It is so cool, so sophisticated.

This is a super wide fabric at 160 cm and this piece is 2 metres in length, so there is a lot of fabric to work with.  The fabric content is poly/lycra, with moderate stretch in the width.  It is a nice lightweight fabric, but still drapes well.

I had lots of ideas for this fabric.  Here were some of the options I was mulling over.  (These are just a few ideas of course.  You will have a heap of your own thoughts).

I was leaning towards a bomber jacket, taking ideas from the Marni bomber top right.  I really loved the Proenza Schouler top and skirt (middle of bottom row) and think this would work superbly in the scuba fabric, especially with black sleeve and yoke contrast.  The bomber top left is Thakoon, skirt/dress bottom left is Peter Pilotto, jacket top centre is Helmut Lang.  Image credits Ssense, Net-A-Porter, Far Fetch, Marni and Thakoon.
