Bright blooms cotton GONE

This fabric has to be described as a happy and joyous one.

The pattern is infused with a rainbow of colours…Kelly green, aqua, tangerine, egg yolk yellow, sienna, pale pink, all offset on a black background.

Is this an art nouveau based pattern?  As I work through these fabrics I wish I knew a whole lot more about pattern provenance and history.  I think this has the nouveau influences.

Flower dress

These Preen dresses show how to work with colourful floral prints perfectly.  I show these dresses as an example mostly because these images looked too good on to clutter with other images.  But tunics, shirts, loose tops, beach throws, sun dresses, loose pants, full skirts, sarongs — absolutely all these other garments would be perfect in this cotton.

This fabric came from a high end Australian fabric store, one that buys a lot of fabric from the Italian mills.  Perhaps it came from there, I’m not sure.  I can certainly recommend the fabric.  It is a light cotton, some might even say a voile but I think it is a little weightier than this.  It is nice and soft and fluid in a cotton way, and is quite opaque.

Black art nouveau cotton

The fabric is 142cm wide and the length is 2.1 metres.  I’m pretty sure I paid a higher price for the fabric (probably quite a bit higher) but I’m pricing this now at $25 a metre/$52 for the piece.

I can post this in the smallest satchel (with tracking) at $8.25.  Please see here for full details on payment and posting.  If interested, please click on the email below; fabric details will appear automatically and I will get back to you asap. (Australia delivery only thanks).
