Will need to check whether or not I still have this.
It might be winter but the warmer months will be upon us again in no time so there is time to ponder what to make with this most perfect of fabrics.
I have hoarded this one for years, always imagining a loose and floaty top taking strong inspiration from the wonderful things that Easton Pears0n confect into life. But there is plenty of yardage for other things too.
It is another fabric from a specialist designer fabric shop. I think it may have been originally sourced by one of the prominent Australian designers.
This is a lighter weight cotton, I call it a bit thicker and more substantial than a voile but it is still semi transparent, but in a summery light way. It has a light crinkle effect as I said. The creamy avocado background shade offsets these dreamy deep cream flowers with passionfruit and lemon centres. The colours are all so well balanced, with a weatherboard sort of effect.
I’ve got the wrong side of the tape showing here for metric readers, but here’s an idea of scale.
The fabric is 120cm wide and the length is 2.8 metres. It is a designer cotton but today’s motto is keep the prices down so the price is $22 a metre/$61.60 for the piece. I can send it in a small satchel for $8.25.
Please see here for full details on payment and posting. If interested, please click on the email link below; fabric details will appear automatically and I will get back to you asap. (Australia delivery only thanks).
