GONE, THANKS
You could learn a lot about botany examining this lovely cotton. So many lovely blooms tumble around in a free-fall of flowers.
This cotton is from one of the most loved of all fabric shops in the NYC garment district and there were a few of us lined up at the counter, handing the bolt from one to the other. The fabric went pretty quickly.
This cotton was an Anthr0p0l0gie fabric. It is a shirting weight cotton, lightweight but more substantial than a cotton voile, and mostly opaque. The colours are so well blended, and nothing too sweet, which is risky I think with florals. Thus you’ll find deep teal and acorn colours, bursts of persimmon, softened with light lavenders and even lighter aqua. It is such a pleasing print.
I guess I have a tendency to think in terms of tops, but this cotton is also great for skirts and dresses too.
This cotton is 145cm wide and just a little shy of 2 metres. The fabric price is $24 a metre/$48 for the piece.
I can post this fabric in the small satchel for $8.25. Please see here for full details on payment and posting. If interested, please click on the email link below; fabric details will appear automatically and I will get back to you asap. (Australia delivery only thanks).
