SOLD NOW THANK YOU
Softer shades of maize, sand, nutmeg, willow green and lagoon blue blend beautifully in this silk georgette.
They are actually very Australian colours, even though I snapped up this lovely fabric in the NYC garment district.
Big and bold prints always leap out on a web page but please don’t look past this one. It is such a pleasing fabric. The silk georgette quality is really good. It is not a double georgette but it is thicker than a single one. The lycra element makes the silk georgette a little “bouncy” and, strangely, I think of bungy jumping! (This fabric log starts to feel like a psych test sometimes…)
This silk is a designer one from the New York City garment district. It is 115cm wide and the length is 2.8 metres, enough for a dress if you wanted to make one. I’ve just thought of a dress that would probably work really well for this fabric, a collage I did in the early days of this flog (fabric log?). This – ?
It might be a Nina Ricci dress but my recollection is a bit hazy.
Again, I’m keeping prices discounted so am putting this up for $23 a metre/$64.40 for the piece. I will be able to send this in a small satchel for $8.25.
Please see here for full details on payment and posting. If interested, please click on the email link below; fabric details will appear automatically and I will get back to you asap. (Australia delivery only thanks).
