This piece really is a veritable bursting profusion of stylised flowers in outline and in eggplant, caramel and kiwi over black. This is a beautiful silk charmeuse with lycra, giving the fabric wonderful stretch and give.
This length hails from the NYC garment district from what was one of my favourite shops, the very first one I ever walked into in the district, now sadly closed down because of the skyrocketing Manhattan rents. This length is 115cm x 3.2 metres, comprised of 3 panels of 107cm each. You can see the complete panel in the next image. If you wanted to make a dress, two of the panels could be used for the garment body, with the third panel available to play around with sleeves, upper body etc. I really loved the idea of a killer statement shirt in this fabric with another panel for a top. Those were the days when I sewed!
Here’s a close-up.
This was a pricey enough fabric but listing here for $35 a 107cm panel/$105 for the piece plus post (small satchel). Selling as one piece, sorry I can’t do cut lengths. You can see how beautifully the fabric drapes in this image. And the video follows after that, showing the colour, texture and movement of the fabric.
