Jewel tones super-soft silk SOLD

This fabric is seriously the softest silk I have ever come across in my lifetime of scouring for fabrics.  I have no idea how such soft silk came to be and why I haven’t seen more of it.  I’d love to know the provenance of this piece, that’s for sure.

Jewel colours saturate this fabric, with deep emerald and peacock greens the dominant shades, complemented with soft purples and the occasional lighter fern or feather effects.  It’s like a deep tropical jungle at nightfall with hints of the dusk showing through the canopy.  (Hmm, I might be getting away with myself with some of these descriptions, please humour me!).

Proenza Schouler have featured a lot of these colours in their collections.  Here are just a couple of their lovely garments.  The dress in the middle has a lot of colours that are very close to those in this fabric.

The silk is lightweight, similar to a silk charmeuse, nearly opaque  The width is 140cm and the length is 2.10 metres.  The price of the fabric is $24 a metre/$50 for the piece.

I can post this in the smallest satchel (with tracking) at $8.25.  Please see here for full details on payment and posting.  If interested, please click on the email below; fabric details will appear automatically and I will get back to you asap. (Australia delivery only thanks).
