Milly madras plaid catwalk silk SOLD

Here’s another eye-catching Milly fabric and another plaid.  Both the original dresses made by Milly and the remaindered fabric were both very popular.

The plaid is nick-named a madras plaid for good reason with the orange spicing up the oatmeal, navy khaki green.

The plaid stripes have a bit of a rough finish to the edges to make it obvious that this is a fashion-forward plaid, something a bit edgier than a conventional one.

The silk is a soft and fine shantung weave, a top-quality fabric, but the fabric has a little crispness to it.  You can see from the images how the fabric holds its pleats and gathers, so a bit of fullness in the garment is ideal.

This Milly fabric is 120cm wide and the length is 3 metres, so there is a good length for a dress with a bit of volume if you want one.  A bit earlier someone brought to my attention this Vogue pattern and I think this Milly silk would be perfect for this pattern.  Sorry, I don’t have the pattern number to hand at the moment.

The price of the fabric is $28 a metre/$84 for the piece.

I can post this in the smallest satchel (with tracking) at $8.25.  Please see here for full details on payment and posting.  If interested, please click on the email below; fabric details will appear automatically and I will get back to you asap. (Australia delivery only thanks).
