This looks like a Moroccan inspired print to me, with the large scale motifs overlapping each other creating a lace effect.
The fabric is a cotton voile, possibly there is a bit of silk in it, maybe 10 or 20%, but I am not sure.
This is a perfect fabric for our summer seasons. As a voile the fabric is lightweight and perfect for blouses, tunics, simple tops to throw over bathers, skirts, dresses…this fabric would work for all these things.
Couldn’t quite find the best images for this fabric this time! But I think the plain navy top in the middle would be quite interesting in the medallion voile. It is a nice loose silhouette perfect for summer, soft gathers around the bottom, something like this could work well. This top is by Givenchy.
The colours in this voile are lovely and if you lean to the cooler colours this is perfect. The base is a classic navy and the medallions combine a pale and washed out aquamarine and off-white.
The fabric is 140cm wide and the length is 2 metres. The fabric price is $21 a metre/$42 for the piece.
