Bumping this fabric up again — a gorgeous M@rc J fabric at a bargain price! Such a pretty fabric, a bit hippie…neat rows of serrated edge flowers in saturated blues, purples and pinks.
This is a lightweight cotton, with a moderate stretch. It seems to me to be a 100% cotton. The flowers are small scale; their delicacy is part of the charm of this fabric. I think I would probably try to pick up one of the contrast colours and make a feature out of the contrast…some sort of interesting front band, maybe lots of curves in it to contrast with the orderly presentation of the flowers?
As usual, there is always tons of inspiration to be had from Anthropol0gie tops. You can count on lovely details time and again.
This M@rc Jacobs knit is super wide at 160 cm and the length is 1.5 metres. The fabric price is $18 a metre/$27 for the piece.
