THIS FABRIC IS GONE NOW – MANY THANKS
I see a perfect little dress every time I look at this fabric, though being a perfect weight silk, so much else is possible.
It was a really sunny day when I photographed this fabric last week and the sun was catching the folds of the fabric and highlighting the colours.
Once the fabric is gone I’ll still keep this photo to look at because it will remind me of a nice warm afternoon taking pictures of lovely things.
This fabric has twill weave, but it falls on the heavier side twill ‘spectrum’. Twills have become hugely popular the last few years and I have to say, this is a great version of it. The fabric handles beautifully and the colours are a perfect marriage of nasturtium, amethyst, sunny yellow and leaf green.
Dolce & Gabbana made a couple of simple garments this last season that perfectly showcased their floral fabrics, left and centre.
Also here, to the right, is a Laura Biagiotti dress. And that’s Edie Campbell in an editorial for W Magazine, looking every inch like a young Stella Tennant.
This piece of sunny silk measures 120cm x 2 metres. The price is $25 a metre/$50 for the length. I can post this in the smallest satchel (with tracking) at $8.25. Please see here for full details on payment and posting. If interested, please click on the email below; fabric details will appear automatically and I will get back to you asap. (Australia delivery only thanks).
