This silk georgette is a stunning quality, fine and light and airy, but not too transparent.

I saw this as a blouse with the tie-ends for myself when I bought the fabric, but it would be great in so many different styles, loose, lofty tops with just a few seams, or something a bit more detailed.

Sewing silk is much easier than people may think.  Before cutting, tape some butchers paper to your cutting surface.  Lay the fabric over this when you cut and the fabric will not move even a thread and cutting is super-easy.  There are lots of ways to stabilise the fabric when sewing.  I’ll try to do a post later on with the various techniques.

(I lay this fabric over some red silk when taking the photos so as to show up the pattern).
