I have many, many pieces of lovely silk in just the right length for floaty tops or perky blouses. This silk fits both the fun and classic mould at the same time.
And, it will match everything…
Chinese new year red, kiwi green, passionfruit, dove, cadet blue mini cubes, layered over a light grey lattice over an even lighter, soft grey base…it is such a harmonious assembly of colours blended together in a small scale print with just enough irregularity to make it a bit quirky. The fabric itself is a perfect blouse weight, light and fluid, but quite opaque.
The print would allow you to opt for simple styles but still maintain heaps of interest. Or heads-up on a swishy Victoria Beckham look…perfect blouse with sharp pants.
This length of silk hails from the NYC garment district, a West 39th Street shop. It is 110cm wide and the length is 1.9 metres.
