Silver and pewter op-art silk shantung SOLD

Here is the first of a few more dressy fabrics I’ll be putting up.

This is a really exquisite quality silk.  It is a sample piece from the studio of a designer.

I think she said it was an Armani sample.  I’m sort of at the level of 85% recollection, as I have had this piece for a while.  But I certainly have picked up quite a few pieces of Armani from her over the years.  I will be listing a few more of the Armani in coming weeks.

I call this a shantung as it has that beautiful lustrous surface sheen and is beautifully soft and smooth.  It is a lighter weight shantung.  There is absolutely no irregularity in the fabric; it a fine and even weave.  Yes, going over this now, you can see, it is from a top-quality mill, it is a beautiful piece.

Dresses here Alberta Ferretti, Prabal Gurung (I think!), Mary Katrantzou and Giambattista Valli.

I’ve shown dresses here (full skirts with pockets seems to be de rigueur) but for something more relaxed a skirt, shirt or other top would work just fine too.

As to the fabric dimensions, there are two measures to give you, as a strip has cut away from the side of the fabric, though it remains in one continuous length.  First, there is a fabric with a width of 145 cm x 1.15 metres; then 116cm x 1 metre.  See the image below, it shows how the fabric width narrows half way through the length with a fabric strip cut away.

Nonetheless, there is still a fair bit of fabric to work with.  Rather than the 2 metres, I will only charge for 1.5 metres, so this allows for the piece with less width, plus some.  The price is $33 a metre/$49 for the piece.

I can post this in the smallest satchel (with tracking) at $8.25.  Please see here for full details on payment and posting.  If interested, please click on the email below; fabric details will appear automatically and I will get back to you asap. (Australia delivery only thanks).
